    Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to apply for the RockMen Apprenticeship Program (R.A.P)?

To apply you must be 18 years or older. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, a valid state ID or license and be able to pass a medical physical.

What is my first step to becoming an apprentice with RockMen Inc?

Complete the online application and send all required attachments to staff@rockmeninc.com

How do I get an interview?

Once application and documents are received and verified, an interview will be scheduled.

How will I know if I am chosen for the R.A.P apprenticeship?

After your interview, you will be contacted by email. Should you be selected, you will be provided information and scheduled to attend the RAP orientation.

    What is the R.A.P orientation?

The Orientation is four weeks and you will receive a stipend. During that time, you will complete assessments and meet our partners. You must attend the whole Orientation. Only the highly motivated and top performers will proceed to the next level of training.

If selected, what can I expect after orientation?

You will enter the RockMen Boot Camp for a period of ninety (90) days. This is a pre-apprenticeship and review period. You will learn about the trade skills comprising the RockMen Apprentice Program (RAP) and earn an hourly wage. Our partners will evaluate your progress throughout this review period and document their findings. At the end of the RAP Boot Camp experience, you and RockMen will determine whether you will continue into the three-year program for certification.

    Where is your training facility?

RAP is comprised of several partnership companies, institutions, and community organizations that provide resources and services to our apprentices. Throughout, our apprentices will receive training in different facilities and environments.

What trades are offered by R.A.P?

RockMen’s RAP focus is the construction trades. Our apprentices will be exposed to several of those trades throughout. Our area of expertise is considered a “special” field that consist primarily of the concrete, plastering, and ironwork trades.

Will I be hired once I graduate from this apprenticeship program?

Yes. Our partners guarantee employment upon completion of this apprentices program.

Is RockMen Inc open to Home-schooled students?

Yes. However, verification of secondary education requirements must be provided. In addition, there may be other assessments before determination of acceptance.

    Will I be paid?

Yes, the RockMen Apprenticeship Program is an earn and learn program.
